America has come a long way from where it began. What started as a grassroots movement for independence grew into the worldwide face of freedom. What was once nothing more than a few courageous volunteers has grown into a global superpower. What was once the puppet of a king is now the largest democracy in the world. In a country that has grown so much since its discovery five hundred years ago, freedom has always been the driving force, which is why we must continue to chase freedom until no one in the world is subject to tyranny.

          In times of torment and evil, American has always stepped in to ensure that those around the globe are not subject to tyranny. However, in a world, as connected as our own, many countries may give false illusions of freedom. In the past, America waged war to liberate people of this rule, but in modern times this has taken the back seat to internal issues. Have we forgotten what this country was built on? While we sit here making no progress, billions of people suffer under the rule of corruption, billions have no say in how their nation is run and billions have their lives laid out for them American needs to get back to standing up for people all around the globe and putting an end to all enemies of freedom. This year, we have watched nations fall to terror as American moved away. This is not how American protects freedom and if this trend continues, we will soon live in a world where freedom is nothing more than a memory.

          Now is the time. Now is the time to return to fighting for freedom. Now is the time to protect the world from tyranny. Now is the time to stand up for the little guys. Now is the time to make sure that our children’s children get to experience just how great freedom is. So let’s get back to doing what this country was born to do, standing up to freedom.
